Chris Carmichael, CPA
Founder & CEO
“As a CFO of numerous small Canadian public companies, access to information on a timely manner is mandatory and essential for our investors. As an investor in many start up Canadian private companies, receiving annual financial information six months after year end, if provided which is not always the case, keeps me in the dark on the value of my invested capital. It’s time for private companies to provide current information to their investors.”
-

Colin Keddy
Director
“When investing in private companies, my analysis and assessment seems to end once my invested capital is provided and there is no access to review Management’s use of my invested capital. As an investor, I would like to see how my funds are being used and receive access to financial and operational information similar to information provided by public companies.”

Hussein Khalife, CFA
Director
“To invest in a private company, you need to be an Accredited Investor as defined by the securities commissions. As an Accredited Investor, you can only invest if you sign a securities commission form stating that you understand that you could lose all of your invested capital. This undertaking protects the company but we need to protect the investor by making management of these companies more accountable to their investors.”
